| I went to Richer Sounds to Buy A Samsung 32 inch which they advertised but this was unfortunately out of stock.
I.d done all my research and wasn't prepared to look at anything else.
But I'm a man, and a man who wanted a telly. So after talking to the guy at Richer Sounds I spent ?50 more than intended and came home with the LG
Am I dissappointed?
Definitely not This telly is absolutely the dogs bo**ocks.
Dont know a lot about tech spec I just wanted a tv to watch cable and dvds and it certainly does the job . |

| Problems: This model does NOT HAVE A HEADPHONE OUTLET!! Why not when cheaper models have? Base sound when playing music very poor, need separate sound system! RGB connection strange. 800 x 600 looses 25 mm on right hand side, 1024 x 768 looses 750 mm from left hand side & screen picture is missing the same on the right? Why? The only resolution that would work is 1280 x 1024 which means i have had to enlarge the icon size. Some older games on the 800 x 600 res. don't want to play. |

| Very similar experience with Cleggy. I went to richer sounds for the panasonic 32lxd80. But when I compared these two side by side with freeview signal, I changed my mind. Enyjoying it now. |

| I own the LG 32LG5020. I never planned to buy an LG tv, I was under the impression they were jack of all trades and master of none. I went out to buy a panasonic 32lxd80 originally, but I was impressed so much with the sharpness and quality of picture, and the depth of the colour shown on screen when side by side with 6 other 32" tvs, that I changed my mind quickly.
Im using the tv for Freeview via the tvs integrated freeview tuner, the picutre is sharp, the colours are good, and the blacks are as they should be, no blurring etc. I use it for PS3 also, and the picture quality via HDMI is superb really, Im very happy with it. The sound quality is ok also, via the "hidden" speaker system. Sound is loud enough, and quite clear, although idealy a surround sound system should be added to any TV to get the most from it. This TV has Optical SP/DIF output, enabling high quality connection to a true dolby surround sound amplifier. The tv features 3 x HDMIs along with scart and component inputs. It also has RGB cable connection for a PC to one of the many inputs this tv can take. The tv itself is very stylish and good looking, the piano black surround to it is very good looking when compared to other similar models - this is down to personal taste of course!
The hd resolution of 720p looks very impressive, the tv handles blu-rays being input from my PS3 without any issue, again the picture is superb! I also have a HDMI output on my laptop, and so have that connected to the TV, and that looks great in 720p too! Unless you plan to spend mega bucks, tvs with 1080p arent really worth going in for in my opinion, as most things are output in 720p anyway, such as PS3 games etc.
Having not been keen on LG products at first, Im actually very impressed and happy with the TV, and do not regret my decision to buy one. I really would reccomend this tv to anyone who wants a top notch TV for under ?400! |
